Technical Factsheets are the tangible outputs of the Flagship Project 1 “5 demos in five continents”. For the GPFM, factsheets are a key instrument to collect and distillate the most relevant outcomes from national pilots and demo projects. In 2024, four factsheets have been released at the CEM-15/MI-9 in October, Brazil. The Mission is planning to develop several factsheets featuring other key case studies from GPFM members in the following years.

This factsheet shares six key case studies from GPFM members’ projects assessing EV grid impact and flexibility potential, how it could be exploited by smart charging and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) solutions, and planning strategies for the deployment of the charging infrastructure, ensuring that the power system can support EV uptake and exploit its flexibility potential to support variable renewable integration.
