GPFM Insight Reports of Innovation Priorities: Report 4 _ Floating Photovoltaic and Eco-environment Sustainability

At the 2nd MI Green Power Innovation Conference in December 2024 (Yancheng, Jiangsu, China), the Mission released the GPFM Insight Reports of Innovation Priorities, aimed at gathering diverse global perspectives to highlight cutting-edge technical directions, accelerate feasibility studies, and foster innovative research.

The report, Floating Photovoltaic (FPV) and Eco-environment Sustainability, highlights the crucial opportunities and challenges between FPV and aquatic ecosystems and its potential advantages over ground-based PV from a comprehensive literature overview. It focused on analyzing four aspects of water physical processes, environmental processes, ecological processes, and demonstration cases. Through data collection from multiple countries or regions around the world, it is expected to provide a global innovative perspective and long-term policy guidance for energy transition, promoting eco-friendly FPV technology design to achieve synergistic development of renewable energy and ecological environment.
