The Green Powered Future Mission (GPFM) Action Plan 2025–2027 outlines an ambitious strategy to advance the integration of high shares of variable renewable energy (VRE) into global power systems. Building on the achievements of the previous action cycle, this plan targets 77 key innovation priorities across three core pillars: Affordable and Reliable VRE, System Flexibility and Market Design, and Data and Digitalisation for System Integration. Through flagship projects—including expanded demonstrations across six continents and enhanced multilateral research programmes—the GPFM aims to accelerate the development and deployment of scalable clean energy solutions, foster international collaboration, and support the global transition to fully decarbonised, resilient, and cost-effective power systems by 2030.
