GPFM Webinar: V2G & Virtual Energy System
This webinar is part of the series dedicated to the GPFM’s National Pilot Projects. This webinar showcases the two exciting energy innovation projects from National Grid and National Energy System Operator (NESO).
➡️The project 1 (by National Grid) “System value from V2G peak reduction in future scenarios based on strategic transport and energy demand modelling” showcased how the modelling of transportation and energy demand can help to investigate the impacts of V2G on the power system and to quantify the value of flexibility from electric vehicles, in order to identify cost-effective network expansion strategies for the GB transmission network.
➡️ The project 2 (by National Energy System Operator) “Virtual Energy System” focused on the creation of a real-time replica of the entire GB energy landscape and its potential to improve simulation and forecasting abilities to support the transition to a zero-carbon electricity system.
